This afternoon, as I was driving home, one of the radio stations was discussing a toy from the past. The Snow White Mirror! It looked like any other mirror but when you pushed a button Snow White talked to you. A 1970′s classic.
It got me thinking of other toys from the past and the progression of the industry over time. Today, most ads are targeted for technolgy although some classic games remain.
Growing up for me was very different. Phones were attached to the wall, our tv had 3 channels (no remote control) and there was no computers to be had.
Here’s some of the fun toys I found from the 70′s and 80′s
katie copycat - plasticraft - mastermind
Lego - Rubik’s cube - Star Wars
transformers - weebles - clackers
slinky - yo yo’s
These are all classic toys. Toys that children today would enjoy just as much as the lastest computer game.
Fun Facts
Lego goes all the way back to 1932
Rubiks cube was invented in 1974
Slinky was invented in 1945
There’s a history of toys out there just waiting to be played with!
Sweet!
