Tips on Tuesday

I’ve decided to create a new weekly posting on my blog. Tips on Tuesday will be a day for tips and tricks around the home. A few ideas for cooking, cleaning, storing or saving.

This Week I’m focusing on burns

- Minor burns can be treated with sliced tomatoes or tomato juice. Helps to reduce swelling and calm the burn.

- Baby Orajel is great to help relieve pain and swelling on minor burns (after cleaning)

- Aloe Vera: The juice directly squeezed from the leaf of the plant will help relieve pain and swelling.

I love aloe vera! I have an aloe plant in my house and anytime we have a burn or a scrape, I clip off a leaf and apply it. It’s awesome just for dry skin, too… rubs in quickly, no grease! :)

  3. Thanks for sharing these tips! Now I know what to do with all that left over Baby Orajel. (My hubby is pretty clumsy and good at burning himself)
