Cooking with the chefs is part of the entertainment at The Royal. Currently, it runs once a week on Fridays. It should happen more often. This was a personal favourite of mine and an amazing experience. It’s not as easy as it looks to create such tasty and colorful foods.
Flip Flops are not appropriate attire in a kitchen.
For this lesson, however, I got away with it!
To begin with we learned the proper way to wash prior to preparing food. Then came the tiny details of cutting up the vegetaables for the salad. Pity was taken on us because the sauce was already made and the tuna was prepped and ready to go. That was fortunate because we did only have an hour and as you can see by my finished product…well, enough said.
The chef took over the cooking at this point and I was more than happy to sit down with a glass of wine and enjoy the rest of my meal. It was melt in your mouth heaven. A beautiful salmon followed by crepes and strawberries.
The meal was gorgeous and we came away with the Chef’s Secret recipes for each of the dishes that was created. Of course, they won’t be secret much longer as I intend to post at least one on my blog.

So cool! We went to Dominican last April but never saw anything this awesome! Of course, I wasn’t in any kind of shape to be handling any cooking tools either, lol!
