On Wednesday, July 11, 2012, I had the privilidge of seeing The Beach Boys during their 50th Anniversay Tour. A blogger friend of mine, TalkingMomCents won a pair of tickets and graciously offered them to me.
I snapped them up in a hurry without giving her a chance to change her mind. 
Perfect! Even though they were a generation ahead of me, (yes, I know you all thought I was ancient), I love their music. The seats were great and I made my way indoors a little early. One, to escape the heat and two because you never know who you might run into. Unfortunately, I ran in to noone. If you know what I mean.
The concert was like taking a trip back in time. They ran old pictures and videos behind them on stage while performing. People were tossing beachballs around in the floor seats and instead of lighters, they were waving their lighted cell phones in the dark. So this is what they were doing in the ’60′s.
They’ve put out a new cd called “This is why God made Radio” and gave us a little taste of their new music. I liked it! Their voices are still good which I was wondering about before I got there. I was also very happy to see Brian Wilson up and at ‘em on the piano.
Would I go back and see them again? Absolutely!

I saw the Beach Boys in Calgary at the Stampede Corral when I was a teenager. Fun fun fun.
