Have you ever watched that show Eat St.? If you have, then you know just what kind of delicious food is being served at Food Trucks across the country and North America. Up until recently, Calgary wasn’t part of that. Now, however, we’ve joined the trend and are making mouth watering treats available on our city streets. The Purple Pastry Chef is just one of those.
On Saturday afternoon, I headed downtown with another fabulous Calgary blogger, Brooke, to see what goodies we could get into.
Wow! These are some amazing cupcakes. We tried the beer and chocolate cupcake, the salted caramel and the cinnamon twist. I loved them all! My favorite was the cinnamon twist as it had a real nice cream cheese icing. I could of eaten a tub of it. Can you guess which one was my hubby’s favorite?
We had a chance to chat with Chantal a little bit. She’s the owner and creator of all these gourmet cupcakes. She wasn’t giving away any secret recipes, (sorry, I tried), but she did tell us how she started planning this.
