Tips on Tuesday
I’ve decided to create a new weekly posting on my blog. Tips on Tuesday will be a day for tips and tricks around the home. A few ideas for cooking, cleaning, storing or saving.
- Is your coffee grinder all gunky? Clean it out by grinding up some white rice. Coffee should stick to rice
- shave chocolate with a potatoe peeler! It’s much simpler than a grater
- No egg poacher? That’s okay, make a ring out of aluminum foil and butter the inside. Drop it into boiling water and drop your egg inside it.

I like that egg poaching idea! I’ve looked all over for egg poaching cups and have a motley collection (none of which do exactly what I want them to). I’ll have to try it!
