Last week I showed you a wonderful clam chowder recipe topped with Salmon. It’s healthy and full of omega vitamins. Here’s a recipe I came across for an appetizer that uses canned salmon.
Salmon Balls – An Appetizer Or Healthy Snack – Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 15½ oz can of salmon
- ¾ cup bread crumbs
- ⅓ cup finely chopped onions
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 clove garlic minced
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- pinch of pepper
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 table spoons minced parsley
Instructions
- Drain salmon keeping the liquid and then flake
- combine first seven ingredients including salmon juice and roll into 1 inch balls
- chill at least 30 min
- Melt butter and add salmon balls browning on all sides then transfer to a serving dish
- add lemon juice and parsley to fry pan
- stir and simmer a minute
- pour over salmon and serve warm
Notes
Makes 36 salmon balls
You can make balls up the night before to save prep time.
Also, I used the juice of one lemon
