Please enjoy! – Tina

Todays Featured Blogger: Rantsnrascals

1. Tell me a little about yourself – who is Jodi?

I’m a mom of two boys, one with special needs, married to her best friend who she calls Forgetful Dad because he is a traumatic brain injury survivor. I’m laid back, honest and tell it like it is kinda person. As a person with bipolar disorder I aim every day to find something good in life, to stay postiive and enjoy every moment that comes. I’m an avid Canuck fan, love web designing and blogging and watching reality tv (I know)…
2. How long have you been blogging and why did you start?
I started blogging back in 2009 an online journal really as a way to make myself feel better as I was dealing with a lot in my life at the time. My blog rantsnrascals didn’t officially launch until 2010. I was hoping it would be a way for me to connect to other parents who had a child with special needs, caregivers and to be a support for other parents.
3. Your favourite thing about Canada
How laid back Canadians are. Canadians are very loving and giving and helpful to one another a lot more than we think. I also love we are a hockey country, the maple leaf is beautiful and we take pride in ourselves and our country and are always willing to pitch in and help.
4. Top 3 food choices
pasta
egg mcmuffins (LOL) from McDees
Anything Tim Hortons!
5. If you could meet anyone, who would it be and why?
Okay don’t laugh. If I could meet anyone it would be God. I’d love an hour session with him to chat about life, why he does certain things, why he doesn’t do others and then finally to give him a big hug and thank him for all the blessings he’s brought to my life and all the people he has given to me to love who love me back and he continues to do so. I know cheesy right…?
6. Share something you like to do in your spare time “non blogging related”
I love writing romance novels, horror stories, poetry and watching cheesy chic flicks that make me cry and cry…
7. Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Yes – be kind to eachother. We are only here once, enjoy the moments life brings you, no matter how small. Remember to help others anyway you can and not judge them as we all have ups and downs and good and bad times. But I’m a firm believer that what goes around in this life comes around. The next person you encounter over buying a bed off Craig’s list could end up being your very best friend – (true story)…
