Eat Real Food – Creamy Cauliflower #Recipe

The dreaded cauliflower. Growing up this was one of a few vegetables I absolutely detested. I hated when dinner time came around and I saw this on my plate.

As I got older, I realized it wasn’t so bad especially if you didn’t overcook it. It is strong though and most kids don’t like it. Mine would never eat it unless I smothered it in cheese sauce.

These days, I’ve been doing a little experimenting. I pay close attention to the different food shows and try them out. Below are two different ways to use cauliflower. Try them out!

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 2 tablespoons chive and onion cream cheese light
  • 2 stalks green onion
  1. Core, chop and boil the cauliflower for 5 min
  2. add cream cheese and stir until melted
  3. add chopped green onion
  4. mix and serve
For a change use bacon bits instead of green onion.



cauliflower "riced"

Clean half a head of cauliflower
Grate the florets
Place in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Cover and leave for 4 min
Put 1 tblsp olive oil in fry pan and add cauliflower
Sprinkle with black pepper and stir fry 2 – 3 minutes

Serve with Chinese stir fry, add a little stir fry sauce to cauliflower as you would any rice
