I’ve been searching the internet for cabbage recipes that can be done or adapted to be done in the slow cooker. They needed to be simple so I could add my own stamp.
Cabbage is an extremely affordable and beneficial vegetable. It’s healthy, filling and if cooked properly really delicious!
Since the summer is coming and cabbage will get even less expensive, I wanted to create recipes that make great freezer food too.
The first one I want to share with you is a Morrocan style cabbage and potato stew! This dish makes a great meatless main course or a fabulous side dish for a variety of different proteins.
MORROCAN STYLE CABBAGE & POTATO STEW
- ½ cabbage chopped
- 4 carrots chopped
- 1 onion chopped
- 4 potatoes chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp ginger
- ¼ cup olive oil
- Add all ingredients to your slow cooker
- mix well
- cook on high 4 hours
