Suzhou’s Humble Administrator’s Garden: a UNESCO World Heritage Site

If your dream is China, then Suzhou could be your destination. It’s located in southeastern China and is about 60 miles southwest of Shanghai. Suzhou dates back more than 2500 years and has nine amazing gardens that have been designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Of all the gardens in China, the two most famous can be found in Suzhou. The Humble Administrator’s Garden has a collection of small forests along with an beautiful water feature which makes the backdrop for the garden. The second most famous is the Lingering Garden which truly seems exotic with “Domiciles and temples that come together with native trees and flowers that intertwine along with intricate wood carvings and a collection of rocks deliberately arranged in the garden by its original creators”. This is a garden created by both nature and man.
