Blogging About Me – What You Most Likely Don’t Know

I’ve been blogging now for going on six years, which is kind of hard to believe. Frankly, it doesn’t seem that long ago that I sat in an Italian restaurant in Mexico, asking my family what they thought about the idea of me, blogging. Imagine deer in headlights. There’s nothing quite like a captive audience. Seriously, they weren’t about to depart from such a yummy dinner table.

Anyway, I’ve been thinking about all the things I’ve shared on my blog, which led me to thinking about stuff I haven’t shared. Nothing mind blowing, just the little things.

So, in case you’ve been wondering, here are a few things you may not know about me.

I was born in Toronto
Liver is disgusting – really any internal organs that people eat
I wanted to go into business law
My favourite cocktail is a gin and tonic with a twist of lime
The top drawer of my nightstand contains goodies (wine gums, pistachios etc)
I chew my nails in times of stress (gross – there, I said it for you)
I love a good game of cribbage
If I could choose, I’d own a BMW convertible
My favourite pie is strawberry/rhubarb (with warm custard)
I once sprained my ankle water skiing.

Now, it’s your turn. I want to know a little more about who’s reading my blog. What’s one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?

  1. Sab Edwards says:

I’m an immigrant…. taking that min job away from all you Canadians
I only speak English (but was not born in this country)
I have had more different types of pets then I want to admit to
I am in my 50’s and basically have no savings (yes, min wage jobs do that) BUT I have been able to raise my kids, put braces on one ($4500) and buy a house on min wage (my husbands new job pays more now, but last year three companies disappeared from the city, so hopefully he’s got one that stays around now)
I like to fish and camp

  2. Elizabeth Matthiesen says:

Well I like liver but the stringy bits do have to be removed. I love potato pie which has beef, onions, potatoes and liver in it, I also love steak and kidney pie too. 🙂 Perhaps having 7 kids is what surprises people the most in this day and age.

    • My mom loved liver and steak & kidney pie. Never could get into ofal 🙂 However, it is high in iron!

  3. Debbie S. says:

I love liver but that is the only internal organ I will eat, must be well done and cover in fried onions and gravy. I love reading blogs and I am struggling with my own. I love my grandchildren, wishing I had them when I was a younger so I could not have to rest when they leave. I think no one is ever to old to watch Disney movies. I think chocolate in any form is a health food, at least I feel better after indulging , there fore I think it must be very good for me, just not my waistline.

  4. Liver is disgusting!
    I love to read
I was born in Montreal, raise in New Brunswick, move to Alberta after High School
I wanted to be an accountant, always loved paper work and numbers
    I have two beautiful granddaughters.
