October, November and December, are extremely busy months. There are holidays, family dinners, shopping, parties, holiday entertaining and more. I personally find myself much busier than usual. Frankly, these three months are fun!

Truly, it’s a special time and I don’t want anything interfering with that, especially incontinence. As you know, I suffer with “slight urination”, during over zealous activities such as trampoline jumping, dancing with my grandkids, or even little issues like sneezing. The worst is, sitting around with friends and family, enjoying a good laugh, when I “pee a little ” because I laughed too hard.

My problems with incontinence began a little over ten years ago when I began needing to cross my legs to sneeze. Truthfully, it wasn’t that often, so I barely paid attention to it. Then, laughter and dancing become an issue.

What changed for me was a coughing fit I had on a plane. Most of you know how much we love to travel, and this flight was the beginning of vacation. As usual, because I’m afraid of flying, I took my meds. Only this time, they got stuck in my throat and I began to cough. It just wouldn’t clear and the coughing got worse. I was having trouble breathing and the flight attendant had not answered our bell. We “borrowed” a complete strangers water bottle.

Now under normal circumstances, I would of been worried about germs and all that. But, when you can’t breathe, you don’t worry so much. You also don’t realize you’ve peed yourself, until it’s over. I was horrified. My suitcase was in cargo and had nothing to change into. Fortunately, I was sat by the window, next to my husband and had a blanket. It didn’t take away my humiliation, but it covered it up. At least I had five hours to dry.

Some of you may have read about a similar experience I had on a trampoline with my granddaughter. Let me tell you, this was much worse. You definitely have to stop and think.

I hope I’m not embarrassing anyone, but it’s really annoying! I don’t want to have to restrict my activities or restrain my laughter! Fortunately, I don’t have to. I haven’t had to since I realized how reliable Depend® products are. I’ve been using them for quite some time now on an occasional basis. Using this product gives me my confidence back. I don’t worry about embarrassing myself, or missing out.

Don’t be worried about show and tell, there simply isn’t anything to see.  After trying them for myself, I realized I’d been worrying for nothing. Wear them as you would any other pair of undies and go about your day. Only you will know.

Using Depend® has allowed me to break out in a run, to chase my grandson. No accidents occur! They’ve allowed me to laugh as hard as I want. Family time is spur of the moment activities. No more spending time worrying or in the bathroom. Yes, I used to visit the bathroom quite often. I wanted to keep emptying my bladder in the hopes my incontinence wouldn’t rear its ugly head. I missed so much. You don’t have to.
