Apple Pie Filling #ActifryRecipes

I love a fresh, crispy apple. There’s something so delicious about that first bite. During apple season, I pick them out individually because the price is right. However, offseason, I’ll grab a 3 or 5lb bag to keep costs down. Since there’s only two of us, this usually means that I have a few that start to soften before the bag can be used up.

As usual, I think “waste not, want not”. Before getting my ActiFry, I’d peel them, cook them on the stove top, and freeze for pies. Since I received an ActiFry for Christmas, I decided to do my apples that way instead. Reason being, easy clean up, plus, I can control the softness much better. You don’t want your pies to turn out mushy.

This is a super simple way to make your pie filling. Choose your own spices to add if you like.
